By default our analytics are cookieless: no cookie is set, no cross-site identifier is stored on your device, and we cannot recognise you from one visit to the next. Your IP address is used transiently to derive an approximate location and is anonymised — we mask part of the address — before any analytics record is stored. We do not retain raw IP addresses in our analytics data.

Our lawful basis for this processing is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): understanding and improving our website. We have carried out a legitimate interests assessment covering the brief handling of IP addresses.

Because these records cannot be linked back to you, we usually cannot find your data in them if you ask to see or delete it — and we will not collect extra information about you just to try (Article 11 GDPR). You can object to this measurement at any time (Article 21 GDPR) by emailing [email protected], and we will exclude you from it.

We retain detailed analytics records for 12 months, after which they are deleted and only aggregated reports are kept.
